It’s a final farewell to a facility that’s been in use over the past 56 years. Laramie will play its’ final basketball games at the LHS gym Thursday.
The Lady Plainsmen and Plainsmen will host rival Cheyenne Central for a doubleheader with games at 5:30 and 7 p.m.
Laramie Lady Plainsmen
Laramie defeated Central, 58-52, in Cheyenne three weeks ago for their lone conference victory.
The Lady Plainsmen are 8-11 on the season and 1-7 in the 4A East Conference. The Indians enter with the same league mark, but are 9-8 overall.
Head coach Laura Pollard expects Central to seek redemption.
“They’re going to be looking for revenge. We had some pride in that game, and we played them well down them, but it’s gonna be a battle.”
Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.
Laramie Plainsmen
Laramie will be trying to snap a seven-game losing skid, as they host the top-ranked Central Indians.
Central won the first meeting, 60-38, in Cheyenne three weeks back.
The Plainsmen are 6-13 overall and 1-7 in the conference, while the Indians are atop the 4A East at 7-1 and 15-4 on the season.

Prior to both games, the senior players for both teams will be honored in a recognition ceremony.
