The home finale for Laramie High School football is tonight (Friday night) at Deti Stadium. LHS will host the Cheyenne South Bison on Senior Night. The Plainsmen are 2-4 on the season, while the Bison are 0-6. The 12-member Senior Class will be recognized before the game. The kick-off is at 6 p.m.

LARAMIE FOOTBALL GAME PREVIEW WEEK 6 OF 2025

Laramie fell to No. 5 Natrona County, 24-14, in the Homecoming game. The Mustangs built a 17-0 lead in the second half and held off the Plainsmen. Dax Parvin had two TD passes of 9 yards to Noah Reese and 25 yards to Tyler Gale, but LHS could not overcome two interceptions. NC finished with 410 yards of total offense compared to Laramie’s 314. The Mustangs overcame 21 penalties for 160 yards.

Laramie is averaging 256 yards and 14.5 points per game. They allow 331 yards and 24 points per game. Parvin rates as the No. 4 passer in 4A football at 132 yards per game. He had thrown 8 TDs to 4 interceptions. Isaac Kirsch is No. 5 in receiving at 53.3 yards per game. Boone Frude is the No. 9 rusher in 4A at 61.7 yards per game. Defensively, Tyler Gale leads 4A at 17.7 defensive points per game.

Head coach Jake Chick discussed the senior class, sending them out on a high note, fixing some inconsistencies with the offense, and what Cheyenne South likes to do on both sides of the ball.

Scouting the Opposition

The Bison are winless, not just this season, but over the last six seasons. They are riding a state record 53-game losing streak. It goes back to 2019. Their last win was against Laramie in Cheyenne on October 11, 2019, by a score of 36-35. Last year, LHS took it to South, 62-6. The Bison average only 111 yards and 3.8 points per game, while giving up 330 yards and 57 points per game. Senior Danny Perez leads them at 73.5 rushing yards per game. He has scored one TD.

Series History

Laramie has controlled the series from the first meeting back in 2011. The Plainsmen are 12-2 against Cheyenne South. They have won five straight entering tonight. It will be the 13th meeting in the football series.
