Plainsmen Look to Build Postseason Momentum Against Top-Ranked Broncs [VIDEO]
With both teams locked into their playoff position, the Laramie Plainsmen conclude the regular season seeking momentum heading into the postseason next week. They travel to Sheridan to face the undefeated and top-ranked Broncs. The game starts at 6 p.m. on Friday. KOWB Radio will be taking a broadcast feed from Sheridan Media for tonight’s game.
LARAMIE PLAINSMEN FOOTBALL GAME PREVIEW WEEK 8 2025
Laramie (3-5) lost at Thunder Basin, 28-14, last Friday night. The Bolts had a 7-0 lead when poor timing on a shotgun snap hit a player in motion for the Plainsmen late in the first half. Thunder Basin recovered and scored on the next offensive play for a 14-0 lead at halftime. The Bolts added TD passes of 32 and 62 yards in the third quarter, as they built a 28-0 lead. Laramie’s two touchdowns came late. The first was a 65-yard receiver screen to Isaac Kirsch, and after they recovered an onside kick, the Plainsmen tacked on a 30-yard TD pass to Kirsch. QB Dax Parvin threw for a career-high 262 yards and the two TDs. Laramie finished with 284 yards of total offense. They allowed 328 yards to Thunder Basin. Their QB, Hadley Hudson, threw for 218 yards and four scores.
The Plainsmen are averaging 264 yards and 20.5 points per game. They allow 289 yards and 21.5 points per game. Parvin moved up to the No. 3 passer in 4A football at 146 yards per game. He has thrown 12 TDs to 4 interceptions. Isaac Kirsch is No. 5 in receiving at 57.5 yards per game. Defensively, Tyler Gale leads 4A at 15.4 defensive points per game.

Scouting the Opposition
The Broncs are 8-0 on the season. They won at No. 2 Campbell County, 28-10, last week. That was their 51st consecutive victory, which is the third-longest win streak in the country. They have not lost a game since the middle of the 2021 season. Sheridan averages 308 yards and 33.5 points per game. Defensively, they allow only 253 yards and 12 points per game. The Broncs are No. 1 against the run, giving up 108 rushing yards per game. Keegan Rager leads the ground attack at 62 yards per game, but they have multiple players who will run the ball. Andrew Adams is one of three QBs they use, and he is 4A’s No. 7 passer at 73.9 yards per game with six TDs and three interceptions. Sheridan is missing its top playmaker, Breck Reed, because of an injury. Braxten Crow is No. 16 in defensive points per game at 10.6.
Series History
The series began in 1911. The Broncs lead the series 46-43. Sheridan has won 22 straight games versus Laramie. The last victory for the Plainsmen was in Sheridan in 2005.
