Wyoming High School State Golf 2017

Evanston, Douglas and Sheridan host the 2017 State Golf Tournaments.

Competition days have been altered from original schedule due to weather concerns, per WHSAA.

All-State: There is no voting. To get all-state recognition, a golfer MUST place in the top 10 scoring-wise at the state meet.

4A at Evanston:

Kelly Walsh boys defeated Cheyenne East in a playoff to win the team state championship.

Kelly Walsh girls repeated as state champs.

Individual Champs: Blake Danni (Cheyenne East boys) and Jacelyn Olson (Kelly Walsh girls)

Boys Individual Champ: Jaren Calkins of Lander by 3 over Hudson Roling of Thermopolis. Both were tied after day 1. Roling was up 2 after acing the 3rd hole, but Calkins came back and went up by 1 after the front 9, and held on from there.

Girls Individual Champ: Caleigh Essert of Torrington by 14 over Macy Jacobson of Lander.

2A at Sheridan (Big Horn and Tongue River Hosts):

Lovell boys and Wright girls (first ever) win team titles.

Individual Champs: Jaren Fritz (Tongue River boys) via playoff and Rachel Sams (Moorcroft)
