In one month, everyone will know which teams really are #1, but until then, the coaches/media rankings will continue to show which teams continue to measure up.

The new 4A rankings haven't changed all that much in the last few weeks, but things are getting interesting in terms of playoff seeding. Sheridan, Natrona and Cheyenne East continue to hold at #1, #2 and #3. The game of interest is between #4 and #5. Thunder Basin is back in the rankings, by 1 vote ahead of Kelly Walsh. The Bolts and Trojans meet in Gillette this week, and the winner has a good shot of getting the #4 seed, which comes with a first round home playoff game.

The new 3A rankings have changed some since last week, thanks to one big surprise. Star Valley is still the unanimous #1. Torrington is now up to #2, after bumping former #2, now #4 Douglas off of their undefeated perch. It was the first time since 1994, that the Bearcats got shut out at home. The Trail Blazers can secure the east #1 seed for the playoffs, if they win this week at Rawlins, who is now unranked. Cody has unseated them for the #5 spot and is off this week. Not to be left out is Green River who is up a spot to #3. The game to watch is between 2 unranked teams as Evanston visits Worland. The winner is probably in the playoffs and the loser will probably miss out.

Both of the #1 seeds in 2A can be locked up this weekend. #1 Glenrock can wrap up the East with a win at Moorcroft, while #2 Mountain View can wrap up the west with a home win vs. Kemmerer. #3 Big Piney has an interesting game this week, playing in Riverton vs. 1A Big Horn. The Punchers can secure the west #2 seed, if Greybull wins at Lyman on Saturday. Newcastle and Wheatland are back in the rankings this week at #4 and #5 respectively. Those 2 teams have each other targeted this week at Wheatland. The winner has the inside track to claiming the #2 seed out of the East.

It's a close vote on top of the new 1A rankings. #1 Cokeville hangs on to the top spot by 1 vote ahead of #2 Pine Bluffs. The Hornets will enjoy the comforts of home for their last 2 games, first hosting #5 Southeast, and then the big one with #4 Upton-Sundance. Meanwhile, Big Horn moves up to #3 after their very impressive win at U-S last week. The Rams collide with the 2A Punchers this weekend at Riverton.

Four of the top 5 ranked teams in 6-Man battle each other week, and some are going to get their long overdue test. #1 Kaycee visits arch-rival and #5 Midwest. The winner gets the East #1 seed in the playoffs. Little Snake River has moved into a tie with Farson-Eden for the #2 ranking. Now is the time to find out what the Rattlers are made of, as they will visit #4 Burlington this week, and then host the Pronghorns next week.
