Eleven members of the Laramie High School soccer teams received post-season recognition from the Wyoming Coaches Association.

Tuesday night the WCA released its All-State and All-Conference honors for the 2016 season.

Laramie Lady Plainsmen

Three Lady Plainsmen earned their second accolade.

Sophomore Lexi Pulley received All-State and 4A East All-Conference honors for the second straight year. Junior Kadelyn Setright and sophomore Courtney Hamilton earned their second consecutive All-Conference awards and first All-State award.

Those three are joined junior teammates Morgan Bury and Paige Trent, as well as sophomore teammate Sekoya Romero. They were honored with All-State and 4A East All-Conference for the first time in their career.

Laramie head coach Kim Whisenant said,

“It was great getting all six players on the all-conference and all-state team. These players have put in so much time and preparation all season. It paid off for them, as they got to lift that championship trophy at the end of the state tournament. I wish we could have recognized some other players, but we always talk about how it takes the whole to win and lose games.”

The Lady Plainsmen had the most All-State honorees in 4A, but only the second-most All-Conference awards in the 4A East.

Laramie Plainsmen

Senior Cameron Campbell is the lone Plainsmen that received an honor for the second time in his career. Campbell was All-Conference as a freshman three years ago. This time he was awarded both All-State and All-Conference in the 4A East.

Two senior teammates, Anthony Castano and Ryan Petersmann, junior Blake Moore and sophomore Kyle Reynolds also earned the same two accolades.

Laramie head coach Dan Benford said,

“These boys have worked very hard all season, just like their teammates, and I’m proud of what they accomplished.”

The Plainsmen tied for the most All-State awards in 4A with Sheridan at five. They tied for third with five All-Conference honorees.
