For the first time in the history of the Coach's and Media Boy's Basketball Poll, the Laramie Plainsmen are ranked number one in class 4A.

While they've been ranked throughout the history of the Coach's and Media Poll, the closest the Plainsmen have been to the top position was ranked second. They reached that during the 2012-13 season, but never ascended to number one.

Laramie (12-4, 5-1) sits atop the 4A East Conference standings. The Plainsmen have won seven of their last eight games.

They'll be put to the test Friday and Saturday, when Laramie hosts #3 Sheridan and a Gillette squad fresh off two conference victories last weekend.

Tomorrow's game against the Broncs is at 7 p.m., while Saturday versus the Camels will be at 2 p.m. Both games can be heard live on KOWB.
