When it comes to airports in the state of Wyoming, Laramie is actually pretty well off. With free parking, daily flights to Denver and an estimated 10,000 passengers travelling through Laramie Regional Airport yearly, there are a lot of reasons to fly out of Laramie.

Perhaps the most significant of those perks to fly through Laramie however, might be those daily flights to Denver because of the connecting flights that can made in Denver. You might not know that Denver International Airport is the 5th busiest airport in the country and the 11th busiest airport in the world, and beginning tomorrow, DIA will get just a little bit busier.

On Thursday, May 3, Spirit Airlines will be kicking off nonstop service from Denver to the Airlines' four largest bases: Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Fort Lauderdale and Las Vegas. Additionally, Spirit offers service to more than 30 additional cities in North America.

In their release, Spirit says they empower "...customers to save money on air travel by offering ultra low base fares with a range of optional services for a fee, allowing customers the freedom to choose only the extras they value. This innovative approach grows the traveling market and stimulates new economic activity while creating new jobs.  Spirit's modern fleet, configuration and other innovations enable Spirit to burn less fuel per seat than competitors, making Spirit one of the most environmentally-friendly U.S. carriers.  Spirit’s all-Airbus fleet currently operates more than 175 daily flights to over 50 destinations within the U.S., Latin America and Caribbean."

Looking through their website, Spirit offers many one way tickets for under $50, but there are substantial fees for carry-on and checked bags.
