Wyoming Cowboy Football Has Two Players Depart
Hit hard by injuries to key players and mired in a four-game losing skid, the Wyoming Cowboys lost two more players Monday afternoon.
University of Wyoming cornerback DeAndre Jones and offensive tackle Nathan Leddige have left the football program for personal reasons.
Cowboys' head coach Craig Bohl made the announcement in a release from the university.
Leddige, a sophomore from Beaverton, Oregon, started the first four games of the season at left tackle before suffering a concussion. He hasn't played since. Last year as a freshman, he played in all 12 games and started the final two.
Jones, a senior from Killeen, Texas, started the first seven games this season. He played behind freshman Robert Priester at CSU last Saturday and was listed behind him on the depth chart released Monday. He had also suffered a concussion this season. That occurred in the Pokes' loss to San Jose State on October 18.
Jones finished his career with 112 tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble in 45 career games.
Bohl said he would not have any further comment on the two players’ decisions.
