Powell High School football player Ethan Asher is in intensive care in a Billings, Montana hospital after he was involved in a one-vehicle rollover Tuesday morning in Powell. Asher was placed in a medically induced coma and his aorta was surgically repaired. The accident was near the Park County Road and Bridge shop and his truck went off the road and rolled 3 times. His family released this statement Thursday morning on Facebook: There is some trauma to his brain and Ethan has a severed spine between T9 and T10. The spinal cord is severed completely, so the Doctors say there is no chance of walking again. The rest of his spine looks good. We have a long road ahead of us, lots of waiting"  Asher as the Panther's quarterback in football averaged 83 passing yards per game and 106 all-purpose yards per contest. he also ranked 8th in defensive points on the team. There was a large prayer vigil for Asher at Washington Park in Powell that drew an estimated 250 people.
