Plaxico Burress Trashes Eli Manning, Tom Coughlin in Men’s Journal Interview

Plaxico Burress may have a fresh start with the Jets, but bygones may not be bygones.

In excerpts from an interview in this month’s Men’s Journal, the former Giants star has some harsh words for former teammate Eli Manning and former coach Tom Coughlin.

“He’s not a real positive coach,” Burress said of Coughlin.

Burress said he soured on Manning when the quarterback failed to visit him while Burress was in jail.

“I was always his biggest supporter, even days he wasn’t on, ’cause I could sense he didn’t have thick skin,” Burress said. “Then I went away, and I thought he would come see me, but nothing, not a letter, in two years. I don’t want to say it was a slap in the face, but I thought our relationship was better than that.”
