The Laramie Rangers doubleheader against the Greeley GoJo’s scheduled for Tuesday night at Cowboy Field has been canceled.

Laramie manager Aaron Lozano told KOWB that they were a few reasons as to why the games were called off, which included field conditions and rain in the forecast, but mainly an injury situation with their opponent, the GoJo’s, played the biggest role.

The Rangers are in the midst of a 10-day homestand but are coming off a 1-4 weekend. Laramie was swept at Greeley last Tuesday. They lost both games by the 10-run mercy rule.

The games will not be rescheduled as open dates did not match up for the two programs the rest of the summer season.

The cancellation will save some pitching for the upcoming Dooley Oil Classic, Laramie’s annual home tournament, the Rangers host starting this Thursday, June 20 through Sunday, June 23 at Cowboy Field.

Laramie is 8-20 overall and about six weeks away from the Wyoming American Legion Baseball ‘AA’ state tournament in Gillette, WY.
