Laramie High School Indoor Track Meet Cancelled

Chalk up another high school sporting event that's been called off because of the latest winter storm that's rolling through Wyoming.

Laramie High School was scheduled to host the 'Wyoming Open' indoor track and field invitational Friday at UW's War Memorial Fieldhouse, but that has been called off due to the roads and weather.

LHS Athletics Director Bruce Schmidt made the announcement via email at 3:30 Thursday afternoon. The meet will not be made up since the Wyoming Indoor Track State Championships are next weekend in Gillette.

Earlier in the day, Laramie's home basketball games against Cheyenne Central were postponed until Saturday.
