The Plainsmen are 4-3 after a 20-9 upset of the fourth-ranked Cheyenne Central Indians last Friday night at Deti Stadium. Isaac Kirsch caught two TD passes and ran for another in the victory. He also made the clinching interception in the endzone that thwarted Central’s last-minute comeback attempt. Boone Frude added 185 yards rushing, and Laramie held the Indians to their lowest scoring output of the season.

KOWB’s David Settle visited with Plainsmen head coach Jake Chick to preview the Cheyenne East game. Chick reflected on a big win that sets up an even bigger game, how they control their own destiny, keeping the right focus, and what he expects from the Thunderbirds.
