Kam Chancellor’s Forced Fumble Helps Seahawks Beat Lions, 13-10

Kam Chancellor forced a Calvin Johnson fumble at the 1-yard line with 1:45 to play and the Seahawks held on to beat the Lions, 13-10, in Seattle on Monday night. The Seahawks (2-2) won their 10th straight Monday night game and evened their record on the season.

Detroit (0-4) was inches away from finishing a 91-yard drive with a go-ahead score when Chancellor punched the ball out of Johnson's arm as he was fighting to break the plane of the goal line.

Replays after the game appeared to show that Seattle linebacker KJ Wright illegally batted the ball out of the end zone for a touchback, but no penalty was called.

Russell Wilson completed 20 of 26 passes for 287 yards and a touchdown for the Seahawks, but he was sacked six times and fumbled twice. His fumble in the fourth quarter was returned for a touchdown by Caraun Reid.

Matthew Stafford was 24-of-35 for 203 yards for Detroit.
