Was Jerome Harrison Trade from Detroit Lions Voided Because of Brain Tumor?
The trade of running back Jerome Harrison from the Detroit Lions to the Philadelphia Eagles for running back Ronnie Brown was nullified after Harrison reportedly failed a physical earlier this week.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Thursday that Harrison failed the physical because doctors found a brain tumor during the examination required to authorize the trade.
Moreover, since Harrison showed no symptoms and was thought of as otherwise healthy, discovering the tumor during the exam will help him receive treatment sooner, rather than later. In a tweet, Schefter wrote, “Without trade, Jerome Harrison doesn’t get physical. Without physical, doctors don’t find brain tumor. Trade might have saved his life.”
While Harrison reviews his medical options, Detroit, who was looking to Ronnie Brown to help bolster its running game, worked out free-agent backs James Davis, Charles Scott, Chauncey Washington, and DeShawn Wynn, Schefter reported.
