In a back-and-forth game, a touchdown pass on the final play gave the Wyoming 6-Man All-Stars a 52-50 victory over Nebraska Saturday in Chadron, NE.

Farson-Eden’s Lain Mitchelson found Burlington’s Dontae Garza for a 45-yard scoring pass as time expired. That gave Wyoming its second consecutive win in the series.

Wyoming trailed after the first quarter but rallied for a 28-20 lead by halftime. In fact, Nebraska scored on the final play of the first half. The Cowboy state then built a 40-20 lead as the game entered the fourth quarter.

Nebraska came storming back and outscored Wyoming 30-6, which included a go-ahead TD with under 20 seconds left in the game. That led to the Cowboy state’s heroics.

Wyoming now leads the all-time series 5-3.
