Bald Eagle Crash Lands Into Wyoming Bedroom
JACKSON, Wyo. — A bald eagle is recovering from its injuries after crashing through a window and into a bedroom in Jackson Wyoming, according to the Buckrail News.
The bird is a little on the older side so some are wondering if age played a role in the misguided landing.
Teton Raptor Center responded after Game & Fish was called to the scene.
The owner of the house said that at first, the bird looked dead as it lay there, not moving. But eventually it fluttered and sat up. Rescuers said that the bird was alert enough to fight back when they tried to help it.
On closer inspection, they found a USGS leg band with a number on it. It turns out the bird is 30 years old - making this eagle one of the oldest eagles documented.
