Now that old man winter has stayed out of the way, and teams can play games, the coaches/media can vote.

The 4A boys rankings are about as messed up as every teams' schedule after the snowstorm. The votes had already been counted, before word spread that #1 Laramie lost in OT vs. Cheyenne South. The Plainsmen have a chance to rebound, because they host #2 Thunder Basin on Friday. South host the Bolts on Saturday, and the Bison have to be feeling pretty good about themselves, with their first win ever vs. a #1 ranked team. The rest of the rankings have Cheyenne Central at #3, Rock Springs at #4 and Campbell County at #5. RS has the week off. All in all, 11 of the 14 teams received a vote.

All of the 3A boys teams got a good look at each other this past weekend in Worland. The defending state champs Warriors came out on top and have the #1 ranking. So far, Powell appears to be the most improved team, and is in at #2. Buffalo, Lander and Riverton round out the top 5.

It's another year in 4A Girls, and as usual it's mostly dominated by East teams, who have just started to battle each other. The voters put Thunder Basin at #1, followed by Cheyenne Central. The Lady Bolts just beat the Lady Indians in a rematch of last year's state championship game. Laramie is undefeated at #3. The Lady Plainsmen are undefeated and have a chance to prove themselves this weekend at TB. Cheyenne East figures to be in the mix at #4. Then there's #5 Rock Springs, who is undefeated and has yet to give up a goal. The Lady Tigers are off this week.

3A Girls appears to be picking up where last year left off. Defending champ Cody is #1, follow by last year's runner-up Worland at #2. Buffalo and Lander and ranked #3 and #4 respectively. Riverton and Powell share the #5 ranking.
