A few teams were brought back to Earth last week, and looking at the new coaches/media rankings, some hit the ground harder than others.

4A Boys had the biggest impact. Thunder Basin is still the unanimous #1 team after they emerged unscathed, however, Cheyenne East and #4 Campbell County both recently gave the Bolts a run for their money. Rock Springs makes the biggest jump from #5 to #2. The Tigers took advantage of the chaos in the East, but they have a challenge this weekend at unranked Jackson, who has recently found their stride and their offense. Cheyenne Central only drops 1 spot to #3, after losing twice last week. Kelly Walsh fell to #5 after being on the wrong end of the scoreboard 2 times as well. Green River might have had an argument to crack the top 5. The Wolves have wins vs. RS and KW, but the loss home vs. Natrona neutralized any momentum they had.

3A Boys were not affected from last week's results, but there's a chance it could change. The top 2 teams battle on Thursday, as #2 Powell visits unanimous #1 Worland. #3 Torrington plays their make-up game vs. Scottsbluff, NE, then hosts unranked Douglas this week. Cody and Rawlins switch spots at #4 and #5, with the Broncs getting the higher ranking.

The new 4A Girls rankings didn't change much from last week, and we were expecting more. Cheyenne Central is back to #1. Thunder Basin only drops to #2 after losing twice last week, but both games were in OT, which may have prevented them from dropping further. Rock Springs isn't far behind the Lady Bolts at #3, while Cheyenne East holds steady at #4. Kelly Walsh is back in at #5, after becoming the first team to score on RS this season.

Not much happened in the new 3A Girls rankings. Cody is still the unanimous #1, followed by Buffalo, Worland and Lander. Riverton now has the #5 spot to themselves, after sharing it last week.
