For the second time within a week, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says a patrol car has been struck while parked at a roadside.  While a lucky Trooper was able to escape unharmed last week, yesterday a Trooper was not as fortunate.

A Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper is thanking his lucky stars after his patrol car was slammed into from behind during a traffic stop on Friday night. The WHP reports that both the trooper and the motorist he had stopped were unharmed.

We have more information on the accident that partially close I-80 last night just east of the Grand Avenue exit. Lieutenant Tom Pritchard of the Wyoming Highway Patrol informed us this morning that yesterday's wreck involved three vehicles; a truck pulling a trailer with several campers, a semi hauling a cattle trailer and a wrecker. Tom told us that the accident occurred yesterday evening right at the road closure gates heading up towards the summit.

An arrest has been made in the vehicle/pedestrian crash that hospitalized a University of Wyoming student. A 21 year old WyoTech student, Timothy Lund, was arrested on suspicion of DWUI with serious bodily injury according to the Laramie Police Department.

Mid-day on Sunday, February 5th, an accident on Interstate 80 in Laramie partially closed the road after an accident took place involving at least one semi-truck. The incident occurred just adjacent to the 15th street bridge that crosses Interstate 80 and closed at least one westbound lane.

A car crash 7 miles east of Cheyenne left one man dead and part of Interstate-80 closed for 6 hours Sunday morning.

Authorities think a man who crashed off the Wind River Canyon road survived because he was wearing a seat belt. The unidentified 61-year-old man from Manderson went through a guard rail while driving toward Thermopolis on Friday. His Ford truck ended up partially in the river and was found by a Hot Springs County sheriff’s deputy who noticed the broken guard rail...
