It's finally official! Laramie standout Madison Legerski signed today to play volleyball at Casper College.

Legerski has excelled in three sports at Laramie High School, but decided on continuing her athletic career in volleyball at the next level. She recently won an award as the top senior female student-athlete in the southeast district of Wyoming.

The 5-11 outside hitter helped the Lady Plainsmen reach the state tournament each of the past three seasons, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the 2011 4A State Tournament.

Legerski has earned 10 total letters in her decorated high school career. She has won four state championships, four regional championships and received six all-state honors and seven all-conference accolades. She's also amassed six school records while at LHS.

“She will fit right in to our style of play,” Coach Angel Sharman said in a release from Casper College. “It is going to be fun to work with Madison and watch her grow. She is very talented.”

She is currently number one in her graduating class and plans to major in chemical engineering.

Her mother, Jamie, used to be an assistant coach at Casper College.
