The Laramie Ranger American Legion baseball team utilized six pitchers to put together a perfect game to beat the Rawlins Generals 19-0 in 6 1/2 innings at Cowboy Field on Wednesday night.

The Rangers pitching staff combined for 12 strikeouts through six innings before the game was called on the mercy rule. Tyler Mitchell, Drew Burman, Taylor Boggess, Alex Jordan, Ryan Spiker, and Barry Thomas each earned at least one strikeout in their short time on the mound.  Mitchell pitched two innings to start the game and recorded the win.

A slightly delayed start had no affect on the Rangers offense as they took a 7-0 lead in the first inning. Laramie steadily built their lead over the next five innings, plating at least one run in every inning.  The Rangers scored their 19 runs on 18 hits while taking advantage of 6 Rawlins errors. Dylan Watson led the Rangers with 4 RBI's off a triple and two singles.

I was really excited to start today and show the home crowd what we really have.
