Three Laramie Girls Softball teams won state championships at the USA Softball of Wyoming state tournament last weekend in Casper.

The 8U, 10U B, and 14U B teams won state titles last Sunday. The 10U Rec division squad took second place.

Laramie continued its dominance in the 8U division. They went 2-0 in pool play. Then, LGS beat the Thunder 8U by a final of 19-3. They defeated Lil Legends, 10-1. That put Laramie in the championship. They lost the first game, 8-6, which created an, if necessary, second championship game. LGS prevailed, 9-3.

It was a similar path for the 14U B division Laramie squad. They went 1-1 in pool play. Then, LGS was perfect in the bracket. They defeated a WYCO team, 17-3, the Gillette Blue Jays 10-3, and a different WYCO team, 13-5. In the championship, Laramie beat the Sheridan Mystix, 12-11, for the title.

All three teams got a first-place trophy and rings.

The 10U Rec LGS team finished runner-up in their division. Laramie split their two pool play games. They won their opening bracket game, but then lost their second game. LGS rallied with three victories in three straight elimination games. That placed them in the championship, but Laramie lost to the Thunder 10U, 19-2.

LGS had two other teams in the 12U B and 18U B divisions at the state tournament.
