Is Laramie The Best Town In Wyoming for Millenials?
Whether, like me, you're a member of the infamous generation known as the "Millennial," or you are from an older generation and watching their advancement in our society, it's hard not to notice when they move in en mass.
A Millennial, according to the Pew Research Center, is anyone born between 1981 and 1996. Members of the generation can be between the ages of 37 and 22 currently, so they're the exact age of many individuals attending college or graduate school, so it would make sense that a city like Laramie, which houses the only public University in the state, Millennials would be relatively at home.
According to Niche.com, a website that curates information about towns across the country, Laramie lands very high on a list of the "Best Places for Millennials," in the cowboy state. The Gem City was only beat out by Jackson, WY as the most "Millennial Friendly Town," in the state. The list is as follows:
1. Jackson
2. Laramie
3. Rafter J. Ranch
4. Sheridan
5. Cody
6. Cheyenne
7. Rock Springs
8. Casper
9. Rawlins
10. Lander
You may notice the strange inclusion of Rafter J. Ranch in this list. I'm not one hundred percent sure that counts as a "town," but apparently Millennials love it!
