Wyoming High School Indoor Track and Field State Meet 2019

Gillette hosts the last indoor meet of the season, and then 2 weeks later, the outdoor track and field season will begin.

All-State: There is no voting for All-State. To get the honor, an athlete must finish in the top 2 of an individual event, or be on a winning relay team.

2019 Team Champs:

Boys: Sheridan (2nd title. The other was in 2010)

Girls: Laramie (First title)

Records broken:

Sydney Thorvaldson of Rawlins (running for Laramie) set a new record in the girls 1600 meter run with a time of 4 minutes 57.20 seconds. The old record was 5:08.83 set last year.

Sydney Thorvaldson of Rawlins (running for Laramie) set a new record in the girls 3200 meter run with a time of 10 minutes 26.53 seconds. The old record was 11:04.34 set last year.

Sheridan Girls 1600 Sprint Medley team relay broke their own record set last year. The new record is 4 minutes 18.51 seconds. The old record was 4:18.83.

Wyatt Moore of Star Valley set a new record in the boys 55 meter dash with a time of 6.48 seconds. The old record was 6.50 set in 2015.

Sheridan Boys 4x200 meter relay team set a new record with a time of 1 minute 31.93 seconds. The old record was 1:32.70 set in 2017.

Hunter Brown of Natrona set a new record in the boys long jump with a distance of 23 feet 10 inches. The old record was 23' 8.5" set in 2007.
