While the No. 1’s don’t change, there is some movement in four of the five classes in the new WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Football Poll.

Thunder Basin, Star Valley, Mountain View, Big Horn, and Little Snake River keep their top spot.

There are also three new teams in this week’s rankings and all three of them are in the top five for the first time this season.

Class 4A is the only one with zero differences. The Bolts remain a unanimous pick at No. 1. They are followed by Sheridan, Natrona County, Cheyenne East, and Cheyenne Central. It’s the third straight week of the same top five.

In 3A, it’s still the Star Valley Braves in first with all the top votes. The Cody Broncs are one vote shy from being unanimous at No. 2. Jackson holds in third. The Lander Tigers break into the top five for the first time this season. They check in at No. 4. Powell just holds onto the fifth spot.

The top two remain Mountain View and Buffalo, in that order, in Class 2A. Thermopolis moves back up to No. 3. The Bobcats push Big Piney down a spot to fourth, while Burns holds steady in the No. 5 position.

Class 1A has the same top three teams with Big Horn a near-unanimous choice for first. Upton-Sundance and Cokeville follow at two and three. There is a tie for fourth between Wright and Southeast this week. This is the Wright Panthers’ first appearance in the poll this season.

Finally, in 6-man, the Little Snake River Rattlers are a unanimous selection for No. 1 for the first time during this season. They were that way back in the preseason poll in August. The Miners of H.E.M. move back to second, while Farson-Eden drops a spot to third after their loss to LSR. Hulett holds at No. 4. There’s a new team at five. It is the Lingle-Ft. Laramie Doggers, who make their debut in this year’s rankings.
