
Southern Albany County Under Flash Flood Warning
Southern Albany County, including the Badger Creek Burn scar, is under a flash flood warning until 5 p.m. tonight.
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne issued the warning, saying that Doppler radar detected thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. The NWS said one inch of rain has already fallen and flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Locations such as the Badger Creek Burn scar, Boswell Creek Campground, Woods Landing, Miller Lake Campground Evans Creek Campground and Jelm.
The NWS says that rainfall over the Badger Creek Burn scar may cause debris flows through the Bear Creek Basin. They also warned people against trying to cross flooded roads, and to find an alternate route
