Question:

With the proposed snow removal issue, may I suggest a method for the public to notify when we go on vacation with the expectation that the snow will be removed within 12 hours of the return? This is especially true if you leave town for a while and can't get back because the roads are closed.

Answer:

"The currently drafted ordinance will require property owners to have snow removed by 9 a.m. the following day, regardless of unexpected travel delays, vacation, or other scenarios. If you plan to be out of town, it is recommended that you make arrangements to have someone take care of the property while you are away. In the event your property is identified by the city as being in violation, an additional 24 hours is given by notice prior to the city invoking nuisance regulations, removing the snow, and assessing a fee for the removal. A list of snow removal service providers can be found here."
