There is only one small change in the second WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Football Rankings this week.

The only voting was held for Class 4A teams because it was the only division that had all its teams play an “official” game last week.

Defending 4A champ Natrona County stays on top with 10 first-place votes. They are followed again by the Thunder Basin Bolts. Sheridan and Cheyenne East hold steady at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. The lone new team to the rankings is the Laramie Plainsmen. After their season-opening victory, it impressed enough voters to put Laramie in fifth in the big school class. They push out the Rock Springs Tigers. The Plainsmen go to Rock Springs to take on the Tigers this Friday night.

The rest of the rankings are the same from the Preseason WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Poll.

In 3A, it is Star Valley at No. 1. They are followed by Jackson and Cody. Douglas is fourth, while Torrington is No. 5.

Buffalo and Mountain View are tied atop Class 2A. They are followed by the Greybull Buffs at No. 3. Thermopolis checks in at fourth with Glenrock at No. 5.

In Class 1A 11-man, defending champion Big Horns is on top. The Upton-Sundance Patriots check-in at No. 2. Then, it’s the Cokeville Panthers third, followed by Pine Bluffs and Lusk at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

In 6-man, the Little Snake River Rattlers are in the top spot. The H.E.M. Miners are the choice for No. 2. Defending champion Farson-Eden begins the year in third. Meeteetse is fourth, followed by the Burlington Huskies at No. 5.
