Law Week at the University of Wyoming
Law week runs from Oct. 12-16 at the University of Wyoming, serving as a forum that will feature speakers from the areas of government, public interest groups, academia, and private practice.
This week’s events will feature a presentation on “The Resolution of Conflict in Ireland,” to be given by Northern Ireland civil leaders Rev. John Dunlop and Tom Frawley at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 14. This event is open to the public, and there is no cost to attend.
Dunlop and Frawley will discuss the difficulties in communities where differences in viewpoint, power, and identity come into conflict. In particular, the speakers will draw lessons from the conflict in Northern Ireland that can be directly applied in conflicts around the world.
Sponsors of the event include The UW College of Law, the UW Department of Political Science through the Simpson Fund, the UW International Programs office, and the UW Center for Global and Area Studies.
