The Laramie Lady Plainsmen volleyball team had 15 aces in a 3 game sweep of the Cheyenne Central Lady Indians Monday night in Laramie, 25-12, 26-24, 25-14.

Laramie had control through almost the whole match, jumping out to a 12-6 lead in each set. The one shaky moment came in the second set when five unforced errors and a good serving run from Central's Tessa Woods brought the Lady Indians back into the set. But Laramie's aggressive offense and big block proved to be the breaking point and the Lady Plainsmen rallied to win the set (26-24).

Caitlin McInerney lead the serving assault with 4 aces. The busy night for McInerney also included 10 assists and 5 kills. From the outside, Ali Beckler pounded out 8 kills and 3 aces while Laurel Austin had 6 kills, 3 aces and 12 digs. The Lady Plainsmen are now 13-2 on the season and 2-1 in 4A East conference play. Their next game is on Thursday at Cheyenne South. The game will be broadcast at 6:30 p.m. on AM-1290 KOWB.

Central was led by Brooke White with 6 kills and a .417 hitting percent. The loss evens the Lady Indians' record at 7-7 overall and 1-1 in conference play. They will make the trip up north this weekend to play Sheridan on Friday and Gillette on Saturday.
