Two Laramie High School seniors have received a full ride scholarship to Michigan State University.

Larissa Ford and Sarah Holles were each awarded the STARR Charitable Foundation Scholarship to attend MSU, according to a press release from MSU.

The STARR Charitable Foundation Scholarships pays all regular costs of eight semesters at MSU, which includes tuition, fees, books, room and board and other incidental expenses.

The foundation was established by a private donor, in order to provide students from the state of Wyoming and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula a unique education opportunity.

Students are chosen based on academic interest and achievement and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Students must also demonstrate distinguished personal character and leadership ability.
