The Laramie Colts were held to just one win during their second weekend of play. The Colts split a double header against the Black Bears on Saturday and lost the only game played Sunday against the Arvada Colts.

The Colts mustered up five hits and four runs in game one of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Black Bears. Laramie ultimately lost the game 8-4.

In game two, the Colts jumped out to an early four run lead. Down 5-2, the Black Bears were able to get the bases loaded in the seventh inning. Despite having only one out, the Black Bears only managed to plate two runs and the Colts held on for the 5-4 victory.

On Sunday, the Colts headed down to Arvada, CO for a double header against the Arvada Colts. Laramie gathered only four hits throughout the entire game. They gave up a six runs in the sixth inning and lost 9-0.

The second game was called off due to bad weather. It will be made up when Arvada comes to Laramie on June 25.

The Colts will continue play this Thursday when they open up their home schedule with a doubleheader against the Colorado Slammers.
