Snow and cold temperatures are expected in southeast Wyoming through Friday, according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service.

The service issued this statement on its website on Thursday morning:

"Some light snow is expected to fall over the area mainly this afternoon and tonight with generally 1 to 3 inches of snowfall expected by the time it tapers off Friday. The highest amounts currently favor the mountains as well as northern Nebraska Panhandle."
