Big Laramie Duck Race Set For September 7th

The ninth annual Big Laramie Duck Race is set for Saturday, September 7th and is sponsored by the Laramie Rotary Club.

The race will be held at the Huck Finn Pond in La Prele Park, contestants do not need to be present to win.

Tickets for the race can be purchased through Laramie Rotary members and are $10 per duck or 3 ducks for $25.

1st prize: $1,000

2nd prize: $500

3rd prize: $300

Event begins with a free pancake breakfast at 9 am.  The ducks hit the water at 10 am.

Proceeds raised will help benefit a number of local and international charities including: Downtown clinic programs, Coats for Kids, families in need at Christmas, UW and LCCC scholarship programs, providing clean water in Guatemala, shelter for disaster relief, and Polio eradication.
