Several local bands will put on a show tonight dedicated to Brandon Carlisle.  All proceeds from ticket sales and a portion of the bar sales will be given to the Carlisle family to help with hospital and funeral expenses.

The show at Shocktoberfest is set to begin at 8 p.m. sharp.  Tickets are $7 at the door, and the show is only open to those who are at least 18 years of age.

Local musicians Beneath the Mansion, Not My Weekend, Shane from Miss Massive Snowflake, The Dog Scribes, and headlining act Sorry, No Sympathy, will all be performing.

“Were doing what we know how to do as musicians to have a celebration of music for someone who dedicated his life to it,” says Trevor Kuma, rhythm guitarist and clean vocalist for Sorry, No Sympathy.  “The whole goal for the evening is to help out the Carlisle Family."

Brandon Carlisle is widely regarded as one of the founders of Laramie’s punk rock scene.  In addition to being the drummer of Teenage Bottlerocket, Carlisle organized countless local shows and taught many Laramie musicians how to host their own performances.

Teenage Bottlerocket released their latest album “Tales From Wyoming” on March 31.  Shortly after the group returned from a festival in Florida, Ray Carlisle–Brandon’s twin brother–announced on the band's Facebook page that Brandon had been found unresponsive by a roommate around 11 a.m. on Nov. 3.

“The scary part is the swelling to Brandon’s brain due to a lack of oxygen and blood flow.  His body temperature was 88 degrees when he arrived at the ICU.  I’m pretty sure this means my brother was without oxygen for quite a long time,” said Ray’s post.

In another post late on Nov. 6, the band reported that Brandon would be taken off life support after “the MRI showed he is no longer with us.”  Brandon Carlisle passed away on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at the age of 37.  He was buried in Laramie’s Green Hill Cemetery on Nov. 14.
