Fresh off their debut headline show at Fridays in the Asher in Cheyenne, Fort Collins-based Whippoorwill will live in Laramie Friday, March 1 as part of The Gryphon's Laradise Music Showcase.

"Cathartic, experiential alt-folk written by two boots-in-the-dirt country girls and delivered across drummer Tobias Bank's percussive landscape with banjo, harmonica, distorted guitar, and three-part harmonies that can scorch, soar, or haunt," is how Reverbdecribes Whippoorwill's sound.

You may have heard Whippoorwill's lead singer, and Wyoming native, Alysia Kraft around the area with her other band Patti Fiasco.

Joining Whippoorwill at the Gryphon will be the bluegrass sounds of Colorado's Woodbelly.

Woodbelly was born when Chris Weist (Mandolin) met Craig Patterson (Guitar) and Chris Zink (Dobro) at the Rockygrass Festival in 2015. Within a year, they had teamed up with Aaron McCloskey (Banjo) and Taylor Shuck (Bass) and the music immediately fell into place.

The Gryphon's Laradise Music Showcase #8, Friday, March 1, 2019, is brought in part by BendeRuble Sound, Coal Creek Tap and the LPCC.

Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Gryphon Theater in Laramie, Wyoming.

Doors open at 7:00 PM. The show starts at 8:00 PM.

Tickets are $10.00 in advance and  $15.00 at the door.
