Are you tired of living with the mess and clutter that winter brings? If so, get your butt in gear and start cleaning up that mess because Saturday April 16th is the 2011 community cleanup and free landfill day! All tipping fees are going to be waived for basic waste disposal for all residents of Albany County (including the city). If you have unwanted junk around your house mark this day on your calendar and be sure to take advantage of this great opportunity.

The landfill will be operating under its regular operating hours from 8am until 4:50pm. During operating hours any E-waste may be delivered to the landfill and disposed of in the recycling containers, free of charge.

If you have any household hazardous waste, please make sure to set up an appointment with the Solid Waste Division by calling 721-5279.

Please take note that fees will still remain for tires, refrigerators, mobile homes, and dead animals. If you have any questions or comments you may contact Tyler Bandemer, Solid Waste Division Manager, at 307-721-5309.
