Only one new team enters the latest WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Volleyball Poll this week.

There are no changes at the top of the four classifications.

Class 2A has the most change. Sundance stays No. 1 but barely. The Bulldogs are just six points in front of Riverside in the balloting. Big Horn makes the jump up two spots to No. 3. Moorcroft falls to fourth, while the Greybull Buffs enter the poll for the first time this year in fifth. Four other teams received votes.

In 1A, Kaycee maintains the top spot. They earned six first-place votes. Cokeville is still in second, but the Panthers share the No. 2 position with the Southeast Cyclones this week. They move up three spots. That tie pushes H.E.M. and Meeteetse down to fourth and fifth, respectively. Five more teams garnered at least one vote.

There’s a minor change in Class 3A. Pinedale stays No. 1 for a third straight week. Mountain View picked up just enough votes to move back into second by six points in the balloting over Bridger Valley rival Lyman. The Eagles fall one position to third. Douglas and Rawlins hold in the No. 4 and No. 5 spots.

Class 4A has no change this week. Laramie remains No. 1. They received 17 of the 18 first-place votes. Thunder Basin earned the majority of ballots for second. Cheyenne East stays third. The Thunderbirds picked up the only other vote for No. 1. Kelly Walsh and Rock springs round out the top five. Five more schools were named on at least one ballot.

The schedule this weekend features a big 1 vs. 3 match in Class 3A between Pinedale and Lyman on Thursday. That’s followed by a 1 vs. 2 showdown with Pinedale and Mountain View on Friday. In 4A, top-ranked Laramie pays a visit to Casper on Friday to face No. 4 Kelly Walsh. Saturday features third-rated Cheyenne East at second-ranked Thunder Basin in 4A action. In 2A, No. 4 Moorcroft has a road match at third-ranked Big Horn. Several ranked teams play on the road this weekend, including Class 1A Cokeville, who has three matches away from home over two days.
