The Wyoming National Guard Museum on Pershing Boulevard, in Cheyenne, has temporality closed its doors to give the facility a much needed upgrade.

John Goss, Wyoming Military Department museum director, said the closing will allow the facility to receive critical upgrades to the electrical, insulation and HVAC and information technology systems.

The keynote work is a large expansion and modernization of the exhibit gallery," said Goss, of the upcoming construction work. When opened, the museum will feature a new exhibit program.

Construction is set to begin in early January 2015 and continue through the spring.
