Wyoming Legion Baseball Scoreboard: July 5-11, 2021
The regular season is winding down, and depending on which level, there’s either one week or three weeks remaining.
This is the 14th week of the season in Wyoming. There are plenty of big conference games left for Class ‘A’ teams. Several ‘AA’ teams are back in tournament action this week.
There are three in-state tournaments this week. Cheyenne will host the CABA World Series for the third straight year. Meanwhile, Douglas hosts its annual Bolln Tournament over three days, and Cody will be holding their ‘Cody’ Tourney.

MONDAY, JULY 5:
Final Score: Cheyenne Hawks 9 Douglas 7 (9 inning game) - Hawks score 8 runs in the 7th & 8th innings to rally for the victory. Reisdorfer with 2 hits (2-2B) & 3 RBI's.
Final Score: Rawlins 9 Riverton 8 - Generals jump out 9-2 and hold off the Raiders' rally. Holcomb had 3 hits (2B) & 3 RBI's for Rawlins.
Riverton at Rawlins – rained out
Final Score: Casper Drillers 5 Cody 3 - Drillers get out to a 5-1 lead and hold on for the win. Tharp allows 3 runs on 3 hits over 7 innings pitched with 10 K's. Armstrong with 2 hits & 1 RBI.
Final Score: Cody 14 Casper Drillers 10 - Cubs win a high-scoring game with 4 runs in the top of the 7th inning. Engdahl had 3 hits (2B) & 4 RBI's.
TUESDAY, JULY 6:
Final Score: Douglas 14 Westco Express (Scottsbluff, NE) 4 - Cats pull away for the win. Russell had 2 hits, including a grand slam & 6 RBI's.
Final Score: Douglas 15 Westco Express (Scottsbluff, NE) 8 - Cats score 10 runs in the 5th & 6th innings to get the sweep. Ortega had 3 hits & 2 RBI's.
Final Score: Cody 10 Powell 1 (conference game) - Schroeder & Grenz combine to slow down the Pioneers. They allow 1 run on 6 hits. Engdahl had 3 hits and 1 RBI.
Final Score: Cody 17 Powell 0 (conference game) - Johnston tosses a 2-hit shutout with 5 K's and 1 walk. J. Schroeder hits a grand slam and Blatt also hits a home run.
Miles City, MT at Lovell - canceled; tentative reschedule for 7/12
Final Score: Wheatland 7 Torrington 2 (conference game) - A pair of 3-run innings propels the Lobos to the win. Hernandez, Hicks, and Hageman had 2 hits apiece.
Final Score: Wheatland 15 Torrington 9 (conference game) - Lobos jump out 7-0 and then 6 in the 5th inning. Hageman had 3 hits (2B) & 7 RBI's.
CABA World Series in Cheyenne
Final Score: Cheyenne Post Six 10 Mudville Baseball (Seattle, WA) 0 - Onisto throws a 4-hit shutout. McAnelly homers and drives in 3.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 7:
Final Score: Casper Oilers 14 Jackson 4 (conference game) - Oilers get 7 in the 3rd and finish it off with 5 in the 5th. Barr had 2 hits (2B) & 3 RBI's. Oilers take advantage of 11 walks.
Final Score: Casper Oilers 13 Jackson 2 (conference game) - A 9-run 4th provides most of the offense and leads to the sweep. Wilcox had 2 triples & 3 RBI's.
Final Score: Evanston 14 Rock Springs 1 (conference game) - Outlaws scored 3 runs or more in 4 frames. Gus Allred had 4 hits & 2 RBI's, while Hank Allred added 2 hits & 3 RBI's. Eldredge allows 1 run on 4 hits over 5 IP.
Final Score: Evanston 13 Rock Springs 3 (conference game) - Outlaws complete the sweep thanks to a 6-run 6th. Gus Allred 3 hits & 3 RBI's. Hank Allred hits a 2-run home run in the 4th. Smith's 3-run 2B in the 6th ends it early.
Final Score: Gillette 7 Mitchell, SD 2 - A 5-run 5th leads to the Riders victory. Schilling had 4 hits & 2 RBI's to pace Gillette's 13 hits on offense.
CABA World Series in Cheyenne
Final Score: Cheyenne Post Six 6 Rocky Mountain Oysters (Grand Junction, CO) 3 - Sixers steadily pull away for another win. Rodriguez had a 2-run 3B and Romero adds 2 hits & 2 runs scored. Bohlmann throws 5 innings for the win. McAnelly with the 2 inning save.
THURSDAY, JULY 8:
Final Score: Casper Drillers 19 Buffalo 10 - Drillers jump out to a 14-1 lead. Mogen had 3 hits (2B, 3B) & 1 RBI, while McLean added 2 hits & 3 RBI's.
Final Score: Casper Oilers 13 Alliance, NE 4 - Oilers' 6-run 5th inning sparks them to the victory. Nipper had 4 hits (2B) & 2 RBI's.
Final Score: Casper Oilers 9 Alliance, NE 7 (8 inns.) - Oilers rally with 4 in the 7th to tie it. Then Wagner hits a 2-run single in the 8th for the victory. Pickett led the offense with 3 hits, while Douglass adds a 2B & a home run.
Final Score: Lovell 5 Sheridan Jets 3 - A 3-run 5th gives the Mustangs the lead for good. Wright had 2 hits & 2 RBI's to pace Lovell.
Final Score: Sheridan Jets 10 Lovell 8 - Sheridan scores 8 runs in the 3rd & 4th innings and holds on.

Final Score: Cheyenne Post Six 6 Enfuego Gold (Seattle, WA) 0 - Sixers go to 3-0 in the tournament. Swaen had 3 hits & 1 RBI, while Costopoulos added 2 RBI's. Oswald & Lobmeyer combine on a 3-hit shutout with 10 K's & 1 BB.

Final Score: Wheatland 7 Casper Drillers 3 - Lobos had a 6-2 lead thru 3 innings and hold on for the win. JP had 2 hits & 2 RBI's.
Final Score: Douglas 8 Torrington 0 - Selk throws a 3-hit shutout with 7 K's.
CABA World Series in Cheyenne
Final Score: Cheyenne Post Six 7 Rocky Mountain Lobos (Ft. Collins, CO) 4 - Sixers rally from a 4-0 deficit. Costopoulos & Hastings with 2 hits each. Feezer strikes out 12.
Cody Tournament
Final Score: Air Academy (Colorado Springs, CO) 8 Jackson 7 - Giants score 5 in the 6th, but the rally falls short.
Final Score: Cody 10 Jackson 0 - Engdahl throws a 1-hit shutout with 9 K's.
Out-of-State Tournaments
Final Score: Gillette 2 Brainerd, MN 0 (at Gopher Classic in Minnetonka, MN) - Fink tosses a 5-hit shutout with 9 K's and 1 walk.
Final Score: Gillette 5 Excelsior, MN 1 (at Gopher Classic in Minnetonka, MN) - A 4-run 7th put the Riders over the top. Race had 2 hits & 1 RBI, plus he allowed 1 run on 6 hits as the winning pitcher.
Final Score: Laramie 12 Laurel, MT 2 (at Dickinson, ND Tournament) - Rangers score 4 in the 2nd and 6 in the 4th to break it open. Morris & Hogsett with 3 hits & 2 RBI's each. Chamberlain allows 2 unearned runs on 3 hits with 7 K's & 2 BB. He also hit a solo home run.
Final Score: Sheridan 10 Miles City, MT 0 (at Dickinson, ND Tournament) - Troopers broke it open with a 6-run 3rd. Killian had 3 hits & 4 RBI's.
Final Score: Sheridan 8 406 Flyers (Laurel, MT) 5 (at Dickinson, ND Tournament) - 2 insurance runs in the 5th help the Troopers win their 2nd of the day. Stowe had 2 hits (3B) & 3 RBI's.
SATURDAY, JULY 10:
Lovell at Powell (conference games) - postponed to Monday at 5 p.m.
Bolln Memorial Tournament in Douglas
Final Score: Casper Drillers 7 Riverton 2 - Wicks with 3 hits & 3 RBI's.
Final Score: Wheatland 12 Riverton 0 - An 8-run 5th closes it out for the Lobos. Hernandez had 3 hits (3B) & 2 RBI's.
Final Score: Torrington 9 Green River 5 - A 6-run 3rd put the Tigers in front. Hager had 2 hits (2B) & 3 RBI's. Griffiths had 3 hits, including a home run & 4 RBI's for Green River in the loss.
Final Score: Douglas 7 Green River 5 - Cats score 6 runs in their last 2 at-bats to rally for the win. Russell hits a home run and drives in 2.

Final Score: Cody 20 Air Academy (Colorado Springs, CO) 1 - Johnston and Blatt with 3 hits & 4 RBI's apiece. Blatt had a double, triple, and a home run.

Final Score: Gillette 9 East Ridge, MN 0 (at Gopher Classic in Minnetonka, MN) - Richardson tosses a 4-hit shutout with 6 K's & 3 BB.
Final Score: Laramie 20 Sturgis, SD 5 (at Dickinson, ND Tournament) - Rangers score 8 in the first inning and roll to the win. Laramie finished with 18 hits. Dodd had 2 hits & 4 RBI's. Morris adds 3 hits & 2 RBI's.
Final Score: Laramie 7 Dickinson, ND 0 (at Dickinson, ND Tournament) - Rangers jump to an early 3-0 lead and pull away late. Chavez tosses 5 innings and allows 2 hits with 7 K's and 2 walks. He also had 2 hits & 1 RBI at the plate.
Final Score: Sheridan 14 Crookston, MN 0 (at Dickinson, ND Tournament) - A pair of 6-run innings leads to the Troopers' big win. Nelson had 2 hits and drove in 3.
SUNDAY, JULY 11:
Final Score: Cheyenne Hawks 12 Westco Zephyrs (Scottsbluff, NE) 10 - Hawks score 7 in 1st to take an early lead and hold off late Westco comeback. Coates had 2 hits & 3 RBI's. Hawks also took advantage of 11 walks & an error.
Final Score: Westco Express (Scottsbluff, NE) 15 Cheyenne Hawks 6
Bolln Memorial Tournament in Douglas
Final Score: Green River 8 Riverton 0 - Liebelt throws a 1-hit shutout with 6 K's & 6 BB's. Griffiths had 2 hits (2B) & 3 RBI's to lead the Knights offense.
Final Score: Casper Drillers 5 Douglas 2 - Wicks 3 hits & 2 RBI's

Final Score: Albuquerque Baseball Academy (NM) 4 Cheyenne Post Six 0 - Championship game - Cheyenne held to 2 hits in defeat.
Cody Tournament
Final Score: Cody 12 Jackson 2 - Cubs score 4 runs early and then add 8 in their last 2 at-bats. Blatt homers and drives in 4.
