Nordic skiers are headed to a couple of different destinations on Friday and Saturday.

Lander is hosting high school races, but there is also a sanctioned junior national qualifier at Soldier Hollow, UT.

Lander Invitational (at Lander Golf Course) - change of venue due to road conditions

Friday, Feb. 14: 5km freestyle/skate race, 1 p.m.

Kaylynn Sandall and Connor Mays of Lander won the individual titles.

Saturday, Feb. 15: 10km classic race, 9:30 a.m. (at Beaver Creek Nordic Area)

Sandall and Mays swept the weekend races. No team scores were kept.

Soldier Hollow Super Qualifier (at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Utah)

Friday, Feb. 14: 10km, 5km, or 3km freestyle/skate racing, 9 a.m. (race length dependent on division entered)

Men's 10km freestyle - Elijah Weenig, Jackson, 16th place - 21:38.8

Women's 5km freestyle - Abigail Whitman, Laramie, 37th place - 14:58.1

MU16 Jr. Men Age 14-15 5km freestyle - Mason Wheeler, Jackson, 3rd place - 14:00.8

Saturday, Feb. 15: 10km, 5km, 3km classic racing, 9 a.m. (race length dependent on division entered)

Women's 10km Classic - Abigail Whitman, Laramie, 34th place - 30:31.8

Men's 10km Classic - Elijah Weenig, Jackson, 33rd place - 25:46.9

Jr Women's 5km Classic - Natalie O'Brien, 3rd place - 14:19.9

Jr. Men's 5km Classic - Mason Wheeler, 3rd place - 12:46.9

For next weekend, the downhill skiers will compete for three days on Casper Mountain, one of which is a makeup race for the postponed Cody Invite slalom competition. The cross country skiers will be off to train for the state championships on Feb. 28 and 29 outside of Cody, WY.
