Wyoming HS Nordic Skiing Schedule and Results: Dec. 19, 2020
Updated with results as of 12:39 p.m. on 12-20-20...
After a two-week delay, the Wyoming High School Nordic Skiing season starts on Saturday in Jackson.
The Trail Creek Invitational Nordic Ski Meet will start at 1 p.m. at the Trail Creek Nordic Center. The first race of the season will be a 5km skate race.
Varsity boys will race first with interval starts every 15-seconds. Once the last boy is on the course, there will be a 15-minute gap before the girls’ race begins with the same interval starts. There will also be a 3km JV race.
Due to changes with COVID, there will be no awards ceremony and no spectators allowed at the race.
Nordic skiing was originally scheduled for a start on Dec. 4 and 5, but it was delayed to re-do the schedule, and also a lack of snow at the time had an impact on the delay.
All teams, Casper Natrona, Casper Kelly Walsh, Cody, Jackson, Lander, Laramie, Pinedale, and Sheridan, will be competing in the first race of the season.

On Jan. 15 and 16, Lander will host two days of racing.

Then, everyone returns to Lander on Feb. 5 and 6.
The last regular-season races will be on Feb. 12 in Jackson with Pinedale and Lander, and in Cody for Casper, Laramie, and Sheridan. This will be considered the regional meet weekend, where the host can decide upon two days or just one day of competition.
The 2021 Wyoming High School Nordic Skiing State Championships will be on Casper Mountain with a 5 km classic race on Feb. 26 and a 10 km skate race on Feb. 27.
