
Wyoming ‘AA’ State Legion Baseball Tournament Starts Tuesday
It's the final week of the American Legion Baseball season in Wyoming, as play begins Tuesday at the 'AA' State Tournament in Sheridan.
Thorne-Rider Stadium will serve as the host site with seven teams vying for a shot to get to the Northwest Regional Tournament in Cheyenne, August 5-9.
Cheyenne Post 6 receives an automatic bid. They and the state champs will receive a spot in regional tournament. If Cheyenne wins the 'AA' title this week in Sheridan, then the runner-up will get Wyoming's bid.
Here are the Wyoming State 'AA' Legion Tournament pairings:
Tuesday, July 28
W2 Jackson vs. E3 Laramie, 10 a.m.
E2 Cheyenne vs. W3 Rock Springs, 1 p.m.
E1 Gillette vs. W4 Cody, 4 p.m.
W1 Casper vs. E4 Sheridan, 7 p.m.
