The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees is scheduled to have a special conference call meeting Monday.

On March 10 at 10 a.m. in Old Main, the Board will discuss topics in preparation for its regular meeting later in the month.

Topics of Discussion:

  • Newly approved pay raises for UW employees. Wednesday, Governor Matt Mead approved a bill that will apply $12.5 million to University of Wyoming employee pay raises for the next two years. This is the first pay raise since 2009. The Board of Trustees will deliberate on how to disperse the new salary increase while using employee performance reviews and individual salary market comparisons as guidelines.
  • Student tuition and fees for the 2014-2015 academic year. President Dick McGinity stated that even though the legislative approved pay raises help mitigate some of the university’s needs, lawmakers clearly intimated that UW must find additional resources to address the remaining needs of the university.

Although the above topics will be discussed by the Board, no actions will be taken until the regular meetings, March 27-28.
