The University of Wyoming Police Department responded yesterday to the report of a sexual assault involving two juveniles.The report came in at 6:42 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22. The alleged assault occurred in the vicinity of the UW apartments near 30th Street and Willett Drive.

A juvenile female was approached by a juvenile male, who is alleged to have sexually assaulted her. According to the UW Police Department, the suspect has been identified, and steps have been taken to ensure there is no threat to the community. Neither juvenile is a UW student.

Due to the fact both the suspect and victim are juveniles, no additional information is available.

The matter has been referred to the Albany County Attorney’s Office for action.
