Today In History – January 14th

There are many great highlights in history for January 14th. Here is a look at a few defining events.

The year was 1784 and on this day the United States ratified a peace treaty with England which in turn ended the Revolutionary War.

On this day back in 1639, the first constitution of Connecticut was adopted and it is known as The Fundamental Orders.

On an entertainment note January 14th, 1954 is also the day when NBC's "Today Show" premiered with Dave Garroway as the host.
