This is Why You Don’t Park in Front of a Fire Hydrant
Cheyenne city ordinance says that you can't park a vehicle or trailer, whether occupied or not, within 15 feet of a fire hydrant. Do it and you could get a ticket. Getting a ticket may be the best thing that happens though.
The fire department in Anaheim, California ran into the problem of someone parking in front of a hydrant. They had to administer some frontier justice in order to fulfill their duty. As you can see in the pictures below AFD doesn't play around when it comes to fighting a fire. Oh yea, this person still got fined and towed.
