The Local Sports Calendar For October 2-8 Has Ten Teams Competing

For the second straight week, there’s a high school sport involved in a culminating event. There’s also one new team that has their first competition.

Laramie High School’s tennis teams are competing at the 2014 State Championships in Gillette. Three other LHS squads are in action. Volleyball is at home twice, while the other two are on the road.

University of Wyoming Cowgirl volleyball will begin a four-match homestand. Cross Country will be at a national meet, while Cowgirl soccer is on the road for two MW matches. Both the Cowboy and Cowgirl golf teams are in action in Arizona and New Mexico, respectively. Finally, UW swimming and diving opens their season with an intra-squad co-ed dual.
